AWANA resumes this Wednesday, September 27th, 6:30-8:00 pm.

CHOIR PRACTICE will resume (tentative) this Wednesday, September 27th, 8:15 pm.

COMMUNION SERVICE will be held next Sunday, October 1st.

BENEVOLENT OFFERING next Sunday, October 1st will be taken to support NAB Ministers’ Relief and Retirement. Please read today’s insert for details.

HILLSIDE BAKING MINISTRY beginning on October 4th, we want to again bless the teens at Hillside Drop In with weekly treats. They really enjoy the treats & look forward to Wednesdays. Please speak to Lorraine if you would like to be on a regular rotation to provide the treats or if you would be able to contribute occasionally.

LADIES TIME OUT is in urgent need of child care workers on a casual (1 or more weeks) or full time (10 weeks) basis. If you can help, please speak to Becky Z. THANK YOU!

OBC ANNUAL THANKSGIVING BANQUET Sunday, October 1st, 5:30 p.m. Help is needed for Saturday morning meal prep, set up, turkey roasting, Sunday evening clean up & take down. Please indicate on the sign up sheet on the table in the foyer where you will be able to help. Thank you! Tickets can be purchased from Lorraine or Sandra D.

5 years & under—free
Each family attending is asked to bring a pie to share for dessert. Thank you!

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS:
We need Sunday School Teachers! Full or part-time—please speak to Sandra D. ASAP—thank you!

YOUTH GROUP NEWS:
Please pray for:
Wisdom and understanding for the leaders as they bring the Word of God to the youth.
Open hearts and minds of the youth to receive the message that God is bringing through the leaders.
That the youth would come to know God personally as their Lord and Saviour.
That youth group would be a place where the youth feel loved and safe.

Youth Group is looking for volunteers to help on Friday nights from 7-10 pm whether occasionally or consistently.Volunteer positions include guest speakers to do Bible studies, games leaders, and general helpers. Please contact Riley B. if interested or for any questions.
Volunteers to provide a snack—baking, munchies etc.for the weekly Friday night youth meetings. A sign up sheet is on the table in the foyer.

AWANA resumes September 27th! 6:30-8:00 pm, for kids ages Kindegarten thru Grade 6.
Thank you for responding to our need for volunteers! We are still looking for a few people to listen to Sparks’ verses from 6:30—6:55 pm & a person to help the games leader. Thank you!

FREEDOM FAIR Today, 7-9 pm at Fort Richmond Baptist Church. A night of prayer and worship to support ministries that are responding to human trafficking in Winnipeg, Canada and around the world. Check out the poster on the WM bulletin board.

RIDE FOR REFUGE September 30th! This year a new charity is being supported, DIGNITY HOUSE Dignity House is a second-stage house in Winnipeg for women who want to leave the sex trafficking industry. Dignity House mission states: “We aim to transform lives by aiding women who want to exit prostitution; we believe that this transformation will come through the freedom of faith in Christ and through the provision of a safe home with programs especially designed for these women.” “Determined To Ride For Dignity” needs your help: You can walk 5 km on a beautiful trail beside a lovely little creek or ride 10 km; 25 km; or 50 km to support Dignity House. Speak to Lorraine G. to find out how you can join the team or support the team through prayer and monetary donations.

WOMEN’S BREAKFAST & SIMULCAST Saturday, September 30th, 9:00 am @ Elim Baptist Church (Beausejour) with Elsie Lewandoski & Helga Kahler. Elsie will be on furlough from the mission field in Cameroon. Helga, a member of Rowandale Baptist and a retired teacher, made numerous mission trips to Africa to help in any way she could during her vacation from her teaching job. Over the years they have experienced and seen the impact of the gospel on the African people. They will be able to tell us first hand how our White Cross donations are received and utilized. Elsie will be sharing some of her experiences and they will be available to answer questions you may have, such as, how the role of women has changed in Africa over the years that Elsie has been a missionary.

Simulcast: Lindsay Reimer is planning to show a simulcast Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. The simulcast will feature well known women talking about Mentoring the Titus 2 way: woman to woman, older to younger. If you are interested in coming to the breakfast and the simulcast, let Daphne know and she will pass the info on to Lindsay. PAINT NITE! Saturday, September 30th, 7:00 p.m. @ McDermot Ave. Baptist Church. Budding artists, here's your opportunity to create your own masterpiece.
