We are glad to share our community with you.  I hope you will sense the warmth and welcoming spirit we share here at Oakbank Baptist Church (OBC).

Oakbank Baptist Church is first and foremost a community that is dedicated to following in The Way of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is our purpose to “…bring people to Jesus, build them in faith, equip them for service, and mobilize them in ministry.”  Perhaps it would be better to say that we are a community who brings Jesus to the people by demonstrating His love in tangible ways just as we demonstrate our love for God, for our neighbours, and for each other. 

The Bible tells us that we love God because He first loved us.  He demonstrated that love for us by sending His one and only Son Jesus to purchase for us all the forgiveness we need and the new life that comes when we put our trust in Him.  My family and I have been a part of this vibrant and welcoming community of believers for over two years now and have found a friendly and caring place where we can belong.
